2) Father's Day is a recognized public holiday in Lithuania and some parts of Spain, and was recognized as such in Italy until 1977.
3) It is a national holiday in Estonia, Samoa, and similarly in South Korea, where it is celebrated as Parents' Day
4) The custom of celebrating a day dedicated to fatherhood in Catholic Europe has been known since at least 1508.
