Did you know that KFC on Christmas Eve is a must have in Japan? 🎄🍗In Japan, they used to eat Karaage chicken on Christmas Eve, which was very similar in taste to KFC chicken. KFC managers used a great marketing ploy which resulted in them releasing festive buckets of Kentucky chicken on Christmas Eve. Every year, a costumed Lieutenant Sanders dressed as Father Christmas stands in front of each restaurant and Japanese people queue up outside the restaurant to get their bucket. In the Land of the Cherry Blossom, there is a marketing slogan "Christmas is Kentucky".
