The sales of luxury goods is expected to make up to 30 percent of the global market in 2025

Bain & Company claim that online will become the single biggest sales channel for personal luxury goods in the coming years. The luxury space is expected to make up to 30 percent of the global market in 2025. The same forecast predicted monobrand physical retail stores would account for only 28 percent over the same time. One of the biggest challenges with online shopping is not being able to physically try-on a personal item before purchase. But AR is allowing users to do this using the power of their smartphone. A Third Of Consumers Say Customer Experience Has Improved, A Third Say It's Worse

The customer experience has not improved much over the past year, judging by CX Trends, Challenges, & Opportunities, a study by Customer Contact Week (CCW) Digital. Of the consumers polled, 33% say it has gotten worse, and 9% say it is much worse. Another 35% report no change, while 33% say things are better and 10% say there has been a major upgrade. In addition, 33% say most experiences do not feel personalized, with 15% saying most are personalized and 52% saying some.  Moreover, bad service has consequences. 85% of consumers worldwide rely heavily on video when they purchase goods and services online

According to a study by Brightcove, almost half of consumers worldwide (48%) say that video increases their confidence to shop online, and 71% say videos with interactive features – such as links to purchase – are essential when making an online purchase. In addition, 64% of consumers worldwide say they won’t wait more than five seconds for a video to load on a retailer’s website. More than half of livestream event attendees say they made a purchase as a result of a live virtual shopping experience. Millennials feel strongly about the impact video has in the post-purchase stages of a B2B buying journey. 75% of DTC brands may offer subscriptions by 2023

Interesting news! Check :D  As subscription services shift their strategies, a new report from PipeCandy and Rodeo predicts that as many as 75% of DTC brands will have a subscription-based offering by 2023. However, among the risks they face in doing so are customer acquisition cost, churning and cancellation, funding and subscription fatigue. The report estimates that the U.S. comprises 47% of DTC subscriptions, followed by Europe (21%) and China (14%). 82% of B2B marketing leaders agree creative confidence is growing

59% of B2B marketing leaders in the UK agree creative confidence is growing, the lowest figure amongst the 13 countries included in the study. Globally, the figure is on average 82%. According to the study, 39% of marketers globally believe B2B brands are increasingly harnessing storytelling, emotion and humour to help feed the lasting power of their creative campaigns. More than two thirds (69%) of this global sample agree B2B purchasing decisions are just as emotionally driven as B2C. Furthermore, the majority of B2B marketers (81%) say their brands are now producing creative campaigns that rival consumer brands. More here

Social Commerce Soars As 61% Of 25-34-year-olds Buy On Social Media

The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated consumer adoption of online shopping, including shopping on social media as more than a third (39%) of all US consumers say they have made a purchase on social media and would do so again. With 90% of consumers aware of brand pages/accounts on social media—and only 10% who say they avoid brands’ social media pages—the opportunity for engagement is huge. While consumers are increasingly curious about social commerce, barriers such as data security and shipping hold some back from participating. Consumer confidence for brands plunges to lowest ever level!

Hello everyone!Consumer confidence has plummeted again, with more “bad news” expected as inflation rockets and UK unemployment hits a 50-year low. The latest GfK Consumer Confidence Barometer recorded a headline score of -40 in May, the worst since records began in 1974, and a 2% fall on last month. This means consumer confidence is lower now than during the “darkest days” of the global banking crisis. The lowest score previously was -39, which was recorded in July 2008.
