How do the automation rules work?

Automation rules start automatically when an event is added. In this way, we can automate responses to specific contact behaviour on the website, but also off the website (e.g. clicking on a link in an email). Automation rules can also be triggered manually for a specific contact or group of contacts at a given time in two ways:- manually on the contact's card - under the 'rules and workflow' tab, it is possible to select a specific automation from the entire list of rules available in the account,- from CDP -> Manage contacts - in this panel you can select a group of contacts, e.g. with a specific tag, and in the lower section of the page select "run a rule" and in the same way as before select the appropriate rule from the list.Important: in both cases when rules are started manually, the checkbox "Check conditions" must be checked, because without selecting it, they will be skipped.

Why are popups the most effective tool for acquiring contacts?

The popup provides site visitors with additional information, for example, about current promotions and news, encouraging them to buy and leave their details. It usually shows up suddenly which makes the user's attention fully focused on it therefore it is better than forms, landing pages etc.

If I perform database import, will the contacts already existing in the system be duplicated?

Each e-mail address is unique. There is no possibility to create in the system two contacts with the same e-mail address. If you import contacts, all information from the file will be updated in the system 😉

Outlook and mobile - how to format it in html creator

Hi all,Any tips or required piece of code that you know of that help to make email created in html creator responsive and looking correct in outlook.Client designed email with 4 columns for products on desktop, but when browsed on mobile should fold to two products per row one under another.I’ve tested media queries, tables with divs and tables - just wondering is it actually possible to do it in SM.Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Maybe someone from tech team from SALESmanago would share some tips. I think many will struggle with this issue. Thanks

How can we recover contacts with opt-out status?

If they are monitored contacts, the easiest way is to implement the pop-up for contacts with opt-out status. By displaying such a pop-up, we are able to effectively encourage the contact to re-write.If we tag contacts with opt-out status on an ongoing basis, we can display them on the website a personalized banner with redirection to the landnig page, where the registration form will be displayed. We can also use the webpush channel, social media and mobile marketing for this (the contact does not need to be monitored for the last two)We do not recommend a one-time e-mail sending to contacts with opt-out status due to the possibility of many spam reports, and thus weakening the reputation of the domain and mailing ip.
